I am currently a Lecturer in the Department of English and German Studies at the Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud y del Deporte at the Universidad de Zaragoza in Huesca (Spain), where I teach English for medical purposes, at the healthcare degrees of Medicine, Dentistry and Human Dietetics and Nutrition.

My research focuses on a cognitive stylistic approach to characterisation in narrative fiction and telecinematic discourse, mainly based on pragmatic and socio-cognitive theories. Another strand of my research, within ELT, centres on English for medical purposes, especially the medical humanities. Apart from being a member of the InterGEDI research group, I am currently participating in the project “Comunicación Internacional y Retos Sociales. CIRES H16_17R”, subsidized by the regional Government of Aragón and the EU.
