Alba Ansó-Millán

I am a graduate student in English Studies from the University of Zaragoza (Unizar). After finishing my bachelor's degree in June 2024, having worked for a few years as an EFL teacher, I decided to take a master's degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language in Secondary Education at the Faculty of Education (Unizar), which I completed in July 2025.
In my last year as undergraduate at the Faculty of Arts (Unizar), 2023-24, I was awarded a national scholarship, Beca de Colaboración, issued by the Ministerio de Educación y Formación Profesional (Application No. 23CO1/007005). Although I had obtained some previous experience working as an undergraduate research assistant during my year abroad at the University of Sheffield (Erasmus +) in 2022-23, it was this scholarship which allowed me to begin pursuing a research career. My first investigation project was supervised by Dr Isabel Herrando-Rodrigo and was a contribution to the current InterGedi project, “Processes of recontextualisation in the transfer of knowledge: A pragmatic, linguistic and multimodal study of digital scientific discourse for dissemination purposes (SciDis)” (PID2021-122303NB-100). The output from this piece of research was published in 2025 by the Complutense Journal of English Studies in an article entitled "Analysing the discourse of knowledge transfer practices: A study of proximity in psychology-related podcasts".
At present, I work as a graduate researcher (Investigadora novel N4) for the research group CIRES (H16_17R) at the Department of English and German Studies (Unizar).
My main research interests are connected with corpus linguistics, digital science communication, discourse analysis and science podcasts.
