I am a PhD student in the Department of English and German Studies at the University of Zaragoza in her first year (2022), for which I have been granted a research fellowship by the Diputación General de Aragón (DGA). My thesis is framed within the field of digital discourse and multimodal discourse analysis as it focuses on social media communication and knowledge dissemination within the context of social media platforms (namely X/Twitter and Instagram).

My main objective is to pragmatically explore the discursive enactment of expert identity in the context of social media communication for knowledge dissemination purposes, which aligns my project with the interests of the InterGedi group. As part of InterGedi, my main responsibilities include managing our social media, and contributing to the bibliographical revision of updated literature relevant for the project, the compilation and tagging of the SciDis Database and the dissemination and transfer of our research results within and beyond the academic community. Given my recent incorporation in the research academic world, I am currently in an initial information stage in which I am getting acquainted with all the theoretical notions and research perspectives necessary to carry out my thesis, while also advancing in the analysis of the
Musculoskeletal Expert Identity Corpus (@MEID), a collection of Instagram posts from experts on Musculoskeletal Sciences which I have compiled as part of my PhD project.
