I am a full professor in the Department of English and German Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Universidad de Zaragoza (Spain). The structure and symbolic meaning of Lawrence Durrell’s “quincunx” of novels The Avignon Quintet was the subject of my doctoral dissertation back in 1996. Since then, I have been a member of several competitive research teams first dealing with metafictional narrative and cultural hermeneutics and later in the fields of academic discourse and genre analysis.
Apart from being a member of the InterGEDI research group, I am currently participating in the project “Comunicación Internacional y Retos Sociales. CIRES H16_17R”, subsidized by the regional Government of Aragón and the EU, 2018).
At present, I am working on the intertextual dimension of academic digital genres. I also teach academic English and literary translation into Spanish.
